Sydney Mora

Sydney began dancing at the age of 3 in her hometown of Lubbock, Texas under the mentorship of Yvonne Racz-Key. She grew up training in all styles of dance and attended summer intensives at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Houston Ballet, and Colorado Ballet. Sydney continued her training at Southern Methodist University where she earned her BFA in Dance Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre. While at SMU, Sydney performed works by Larry Keigwin, Mark Burrell, Pat Taylor, Michelle Gibson, and Kim Cooper. Sydney was fortunate enough to be a soloist and rehearsal assistant for Brandi Coleman’s new work Critical Mass. One of her favorite memories at SMU was performing at the Winspear Opera House in 2023. Sydney was also able to explore her love for choreography and created 5 original works during her 4 years at SMU that were performed in the Student Choreography Showcase and the Senior Dance Concert.

Sydney is a former instructor for the Universal Dance Association where she traveled all over the United States teaching Middle and High School Dance teams for 4 years before embarking on her professional dance career. During her time in Dallas, Sydney also served as an instructor for The Dallas Conservatory teaching all ages. She has led many workshops and master classes all over the state of TX and hopes to continue teaching and growing the next generation of artists.

Most recently, Sydney worked with RWS Global on multiple theme park shows as a dancer and singer. One of her favorite shows being her featured singer/ dancer role at Hersheypark directed by Andrew Winans.

 New to New York City, Sydney is continuing her training at PMT, Steps on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center. She is also a fitness instructor at Creative Core NYC and hopes to continue her passion for teaching dance in the years to come. Sydney is so grateful to have found PMT and is looking forward to growing with the company this season!
