Wilson Mayo born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti was adopted when he was 10 years old and moved to The States. From the moment he came to the US his natural proclivity towards athletics made him stand out among his peers. However, when Wilson discovered dance he found a passion that drove him to make great strides in a short period of time. Within his second year of dancing he was in a professional company in New York City. His hard work and dedication landed him a principal role in PMT Dance Company under Artistic Director Pavan Thimmaiah.
Wilson first began his dance training in California at Legacy Dance Academy 2015 - 2016. His first year he was nominated LMU Top Soloist award winner and was selected to perform for a governors ball. After only 2 years he received a scholarship to train at the Joffrey Ballet School jazz and contemporary program which lead to performing in It's Live from New York, Jeffrey Ballet School Spring performance and more. Meanwhile performing with PMT Dance Company in various performances around New York City such as, Benefit Show at the Cutting Room, Spring Dance Series in Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, Half - Time show at the Barclays Center, just to name a few. He also presented New Work at Translate (voices of dance) dance project.
