Founded by Pavan M. Thimmaiah in 2001, PMT Dance Company is a New York City based company that incorporates original music, a storyline and a method of creating ‘movement before music’ with elements of Hip Hop, Funk, Contemporary and Jazz dance.

They have performed worldwide on various stages, including the International Bollywood Movie Awards, the International Dance Festival, Canadian National Exhibition, Montreal’s 375 Anniversary Celebration, Times Square on New Year’s Eve, with Harry Connick Jr., as the featured half-time show at Madison Square Garden and currently with the Brooklyn Nets. Most notably, PMT has been regular performers and contributors to NBC’s The Today Show since 2010.

Their commercial success has been built off the strong artist foundation set early on. This foundation built full-length, touring shows.  The production run was well received and was eventually featured on the Sundance Channel’s “Young Revolutionaries” TV Special (2009). With its own original music written by Pavan Thimmaiah and Alex Feder, they garnered positive reviews highlighted by performances at the Alvin Ailey (Citigroup Theater) and Johns Hopkins University.

Whether broadcast worldwide or performing in a private theater, PMT Dance Company strives to become a source of entertainment, innovation and inspiration for all who share in the performance experience.
