Maria Molina was born in The Bronx, from Colombian parents. She came across the art of dance at the age of nineteen in Binghamton University and since then her passion for its craft has grown. She has taken many introductory courses and although her shy and introverted personality, she was part of many dance groups on campus, such as Quimbamba, Black Dance Repetoire, and Orchesis. Upon graduating, she decided to take a beginners jazz workshop at BDC, and a hip hop/street jazz performance workshop at Alvin Ailey with Pavan Thimmaiah. After taking two workshops with Mr. Thimmaiah, she was asked joined the PMT family. Since that time, she has performed on TLC's "Breaking Amish" and at the halftime show for the NY Liberty at Madison Square Garden.
She is grateful to be part of such a warm and enjoyable group of talented people. She is especially thankful to Pavan for believing in her strengths, and allowing her to expand her abilities and potential as a dancer.
Maria Molina is a principal dancer in PMT Dance Company.
